The Henry and Stark County Health Departments announce that they have decided to cancel their schedule of monthly blood pressure clinics held throughout the area.
Pam Bennett, RN Director of Home Health Services with the Health Department notes, "The clinics will no longer be conducted as of January 1, 2012.
Bennett notes, "We regretfully discontinue our free blood pressure clinic schedule due to continued low attendance numbers and health care changes. We are now in the process of planning new services for our area residents to meet these changing needs that have been identified."
Therefore, as of January 1, 2012, the Health Department nurses will no longer be offering blood pressure clinics.
Bennett adds, Though we are no longer offering these community clinics; anyone wanted their blood pressure checked can always have it done at either of our Health Department Clinic office locations: Main Office, RT 78 South, Kewanee and 103 1st St., Colona Monday - Friday, 8am to 4:00pm.
