Paula lives in Alpha, IL. She will be serving as a School Therapist for the Alwood School District (#225) as a hybrid employee of North Central Behavioral Health and the Henry-Stark Health Department in an exciting, new, grant-based program to provide mental health services full-time in a local school district for their K-12 students.
Paula received her Bachelor's in Psychology from Knox College in 1993, and her Master's in Social Work at St. Ambrose University in 2010. She received her LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) in 2013. Paula has served in a variety of social work areas including child welfare, child and adolescent mental health and crisis, community-based therapy for individuals, couples, families, and groups, mental health therapy and crisis services at the East Moline Correctional Center, and complex care management in the healthcare setting.
Paula feels like she is getting to fulfill one of her career goals in serving professionally in her home community where both of her children grew up and were educated. She and her husband love to travel, most often to visit their adult children or relax on a beach. Their empty-nest baby is their Great Dane, Navy. Paula writes regularly and is hoping to be a published author in the next few years.
